Who We Are

Adam Woodley – Director

Adam Woodley is a visionary leader with a reputation for operational excellence, strategic growth, and authentic people leadership. As Director at WAG, he brings more than 30 years of progressive experience across the Construction industry, underpinned by strong technical expertise and qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.

Over the past two decades, Adam has held senior General Management and Operations leadership roles, where he has consistently delivered high-performing teams, sustainable business growth, and customer-focused operational strategies. He is widely recognised for his strengths in strategic planning, project delivery, commercial and P&L management, and building strong organisational cultures.

One of Adam’s most notable achievements was leading the organic growth of A.G. Coombs Queensland from a startup operation into an industry-leading business. During this period, he successfully secured major contracts, implemented customer-centric service strategies, and developed a highly skilled and engaged workforce — all while maintaining a strong focus on safety, wellbeing, and employee mental health.

As a leader and mentor, Adam has successfully managed and developed teams of more than 70 direct reports and has played an active role in mentoring apprentices and emerging leaders. His commitment to leadership development contributed to supporting the Queensland Training Awards Apprentice of the Year recipient in 2021.

Adam is also deeply committed to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and positive workplace culture within the construction and trades sectors. He is a passionate advocate for male allyship and respectful leadership, serving as a Male Ally on the NAWIC QLD Women on Tools Committee and as a mentor in the NAWIC Mentor Program. Through Woodley Advisory Group’s Emerging Male Allies Program, Adam works with organisations and leaders to foster inclusive workplace cultures, build practical allyship capability, and support safer, more respectful environments across male-dominated industries.

His professional development includes qualifications and training in Mechanical Engineering, Mental Health First Aid, High-Performance Mindfulness, leadership development through the “Leading Edge” program, and Cybersecurity Awareness.

Beyond his professional work, Adam remains an active contributor to the community and previously served as President of the Centenary Plains BMX Club.
